About Soft Browz

Soft Browz is a low-saturation powder technique applied entirely with a rotary machine. No blade, no hair strokes. We layer pigment in fine passes at a reduced density, so the healed result sits on the skin as a soft tint rather than a defined fill. The appointment is 2 hours including mapping and numbing.

This is the right compromise for clients who want their brow shape to exist without makeup but do not want a visible brow treatment. If you have ever looked at ombré photos and thought they were too strong, this is the step down. It also suits oily skin better than blade work, because powder retains more consistently on skin that sheds pigment faster.

Healing is cleaner than combo or microblading because there is no open stroke work. You get flaking rather than scabs, and colour drop-off during healing is around 30 percent. The final look at 6 weeks is understated, think a pencilled brow at the lightest hand. Longevity sits between 12 and 24 months depending on skin type and sun exposure. AED 1,500 with a AED 200 deposit.

Is this right for you?

This is right for you if…

  • Clients who want brow shape without an obvious brow treatment
  • Oily skin that does not hold blade work well
  • First-time PMU clients nervous about commitment to a heavier look
  • Anyone whose existing brow hair is decent but uneven in tone
  • Clients returning from older PMU that has faded to a shadow

This is not for you if…

  • Clients with very sparse or bald patches needing visible density
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients, and anyone on Accutane in the last 12 months
  • Anyone expecting a bold, filled-in Instagram brow (book Ombré instead)

Questions about Soft Browz

Is this actually going to show up on my skin?

Yes, but subtly. The point of Soft Browz is that the result looks like a tinted brow rather than a tattooed one. If you want something more visible, we will tell you at consultation and suggest Signature or Ombré instead.

Will it last as long as Ombré?

Usually a bit less. Because we apply the pigment at a lower saturation, there is less pigment in the skin to begin with, so fade can reach the touch-up stage a few months sooner. Expect 12 to 20 months on most skin types.

I have oily skin, will the pigment still hold?

Powder machine work is actually the most forgiving technique for oily skin. You will retain less than dry-skinned clients, but more than you would with microblading. We adjust saturation during the session based on how your skin takes pigment.

Can I wear brow makeup over this after it heals?

Absolutely, and many clients do on event days. The PMU gives you your base shape so the pencil or gel goes on faster and more evenly.
